In an interview with CoinDesk, Lucas Matheson, the director of Coinbase’s Canada operations, mentioned that he’s been having conversations with Canada’s tier one banks. He didn’t determine them by title, however Canada’s largest banks are collectively often called the Large 5: Royal Financial institution of Canada, Toronto-Dominion Financial institution, Financial institution of Nova Scotia, Financial institution of Montreal and Canadian Imperial Financial institution of Commerce.
