The Middle for Curatorial Research (CCS) at Bard Faculty in Upstate New York is including a $10m enlargement to its library and archives facility, with the addition to be named the Keith Haring Wing in honour of a $3m contribution from the late Pop artist’s basis.
The enlargement will greater than double the services of CCS Bard’s library and archives, including 6,000 sq. ft of area that can embody a brand new classroom, a classroom, an enlarged studying room and space for storing for an extra 30,000 volumes—essential, given current presents of books and supplies from the supplier Gavin Brown, artwork historian Robert Storr and scholar Eddie Chambers.
Work on the brand new wing will start this summer season, with building anticipated to wrap up in late 2025; it has been designed by HWKN Structure—whose earlier tasks embody the present CCS Bard services and the artist Takashi Murakami’s manufacturing facility in Queens, New York—with govt architects C.T.
