Tether aids the U.S. Division of Justice in seizing $5 million in USDT from a fraudulent scheme, reinforcing its dedication to combating illicit actions.





Tether, the biggest firm within the digital asset trade, has taken a major step in its ongoing efforts to fight illicit actions. In response to Tether, the corporate has assisted the U.S. Division of Justice (DOJ) in seizing almost $5 million in USDT stolen via a classy fraud scheme.

Pig Butchering Rip-off

The fraudulent operation, known as “pig butchering,” focused victims via pretend on-line relationships, finally tricking them into investing in counterfeit cryptocurrency platforms that mimicked legit ones.
