The SEC sued Kraken in November 2023 for working a platform as an unregistered securities change, dealer, seller and clearing company. The SEC mentioned it believes that since not less than September 2018, Kraken had made a whole bunch of tens of millions of {dollars} unlawfully by facilitating the shopping for and promoting of crypto asset securities. Kraken filed for the case to be dismissed, a movement that was rejected in August.
