People contact you through WhatsApp from Myanmar, Cambodia and India about investment and you say yes to them. It's obvious that $800K wasn't your money but handed to you to give scammers in India, Myanmar and Cambodia.
The classic bait and hook scam. It happened to me 8 years ago. The difference was it wasn’t a lot of money only 2k I lost but I went through the same methodology as the retired couple.
