Gold is already 108 euro's per gram. What I do is when i save money every month, I directly put all the savings into bitcoin/ethereum , to help lift the total money faster so i can buy gold with it when i have enough.
I put +- 800 euro's per month on the side and i invest it in bitcoin or ethereum. When I got like +- 5000 euro's , i pull out all the savings from crypto to purchase physical gold.
That's my way how to do it. Its easier to lift your money with crypto. For me , bitcoin and ethereum is nothing but a temporary lift.
