I suspect there are three reasons for crypto weakness 1) big money is going into equities away from crypto and 2) the XRP win really pissed off the controllers and they are using their Mt Gox and Silk Road hoards to sell low into the market. What do they care about money? They can print infinite dollars. And 3) I wouldn't be surprised if the hidden hand of government is behind these hacks. If you are a super duper crypto hacker, you probably have a high paying job waiting for you in the U.S. government or part of your plea bargain includes doing work for the government for sentence reduction.
