Paxos, a blockchain infrastructure firm, has bought Fordefi, a New York-based startup that builds digital wallets and custody instruments for establishments.
Based on a press launch printed on November 25, the deal goals to merge Fordefi’s pockets know-how with Paxos’s regulated infrastructure.
This provides companies a single place to subject stablecoins, tokenize property, and deal with blockchain transactions.

Though the monetary particulars weren’t shared publicly, a Paxos consultant advised Fortune that the acquisition was valued at over $100 million.
For now, Fordefi will proceed to run as a separate firm. Paxos plans so as to add its know-how regularly to its broader platform as the businesses align their methods.
Fordefi started operations in 2021 and have become recognized for creating one of many first multi-party computation (MPC) wallets constructed for institutional use in decentralized finance.
