That's not quite accurate in a sense it didn't cost a lot, it would be true if they had started from scratch and had no knowledge how to make AI but since they're using open source material, and research as a starting point and the money spent on the open source material and research needs to be factored in. The open source material might have been free to them but I guarantee it cost to get that open source material.

What chance would we even have against something that can outthink us and now thanks to technology, can easily obtain tools with which to manipulate the real world such as drones and robots.
