“The RBA is making a strategic dedication to prioritise its work agenda on wholesale digital cash and infrastructure – together with wholesale CBDC,” Brad Jones, assistant governor for the monetary system, stated in a press release on Wednesday. “These days, we assess the potential advantages as extra promising, and the challenges much less problematic, for wholesale CBDC in comparison with a retail CBDC.”
