Five accused of illicit $76M cryptocurrency scam captured in Thailand

In a large cross-border operation, 4 Chinese language nationals and a Lao citizen had been apprehended over their alleged involvement in a multimillion cryptocurrency rip-off that left a path of devastation and losses amounting to over 2.7 billion baht ($76 million), based on the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB).
